Heidi Curley Art Studio – Where Creativity Nurtures Wellness

Writer: Heidi Curley ArtistHeidi Curley Artist

Art is more than something to admire—it’s a way to process, release, and heal. After years of creating and sharing my art, I’ve realized that my true passion lies in using creativity as a tool for healing. To take this next step, I’ve moved into a new studio at

417 NE Dallas St, Camas, WA!

A Personal Journey to Healing Through Art

This transition comes from a deeply personal place. Art has always been my refuge, especially in times of grief and transformation. Following a suicide in my family in 2010, I suddenly became a single mother navigating an unfamiliar and difficult reality. Then, in 2016, I faced another heartbreak—the loss of my mother. Through it all, art was my safe space, a way to express emotions I couldn’t always put into words.

Over the past year, I’ve been listening closely to my heart, asking how I can give back to those who have supported me. The answer became clear: I want to help others find an outlet through creative expression, just as I have.

A Mission to Give Back

Emotional transference

I am currently in the process of forming a nonprofit dedicated to providing art-based healing tools for those in need, including:

  • First responders and military personnel

  • Teen girls seeking a safe space to express themselves

  • Individuals with special needs

  • Respite for caregivers and siblings

I am also deeply committed to spreading mental health awareness, including suicide prevention, to ensure that no one feels alone in their struggles.

Through my work as a certified Art4Healing® facilitator, as well as leading Journaling & Teen Girls classes and working with individuals with special needs, I’ve witnessed firsthand how powerful art can be in unlocking emotions, fostering connection, and promoting healing. I’m honored to be collaborating with local police and fire departments, schools, support organizations, and mental health professionals to ensure these resources reach those who need them most.

Continuing My Art Offerings

I will continue to offer a variety of art classes and workshops, designed to inspire joy, connection, and emotional release:

Some of the tools of my
Come Let's Gather

Art Gatherings – Fun, lighthearted sessions perfect for date nights, group gatherings, or team-building events. Laugh, create, and enjoy the process—no experience needed!

Art Journaling Classes – A unique practice of daily journaling, followed by painting over your words. This process allows you to express and release emotions privately, with only you knowing what was written beneath the layers of paint.

Art4Healing® Certified Workshops – These deeply personal sessions provide a safe space to process emotions through abstract expression with color. When words aren’t enough, art can become your voice. Many participants are amazed by the emotions they uncover and the freedom they feel by releasing them on canvas.

Note: While these workshops provide a therapeutic experience, I am not a licensed art therapist.
